Website Randomness

You may have noticed the website going down randomly over the past couple of days and gotten some odd error messages.

It is nothing to worry about. The hosting company have moved us to a newer, faster server.
There may be some more downtime next week, but nothing major, and hopefully when it's all done and they stop faffing the site should run a bit faster. Who knows.

Cheers,
JT-Y.

New Style Club Shirts

Right, so as you know we've been thinking about having new shirts done to mark the clubs fifth anniversary.
Also, I wanted to better reflect the colours on this website over the old one.

I've been onto the embroiderers and the first sample is being done right now, hopefully it should be with is (well, me) in a couple of weeks.

These are the colours I've gone for:

The club logo on the back is being done in full colour, same as you see on the header at the top of this page, and will be the same size as on the normal shirts.
The club name on the left breast is being done in a brighter red to fit the colours of the logo and the shirt.

Basic cost, assuming we order above twelve, will be £22.

There is also the option to have names embroidered on the right sleeve, also in red and in the same font, provided you keep it under 10 characters this will make the shirst cost £26.
This isn't cheap as each one needs to be set up and embroidered on its own, whereas the logo and name can be done as a batch.

Ladies shirts are available also, but I doubt we'll be able to go above twelve items, so they will likely cost £24, and £28 with name added.

New members won't get one of the automatically; their membership will include a standard burgundy and white shirt, which cost us £18.
If new members wish to pay the extra for a new style shirt they can do. See me about that.

Original shirts will still be available, as will the grey shirts.

Post interest in the forums (HERE), I'll put together a full order when the first sample is done.
I'll also look into fleeces in the new design, as the same colours are available, and at woolly hats.

Cheers,
JT-Y.

Sunday Meetings

After much pleading from some members, we've decided to hold an extra club meeting on the first Sunday of every month
Last night (3rd of October) was the first, and with 9 members it was quite well attended.

Due to St. Mary's being open earlier on Sundays the Sunday meetings will start at 6:00pm and finish at 11:00pm (same as the Thursdays).
Hopefully the extra hour should enable attendee's to fit in an extra game without it cutting into valuable drinking time too much

However, as some of you may remember, we tried Sunday meetings in the past, due to some members wanting them, but sadly they weren't well enough attended to continue.
So, it's up to you guys whether or not this works or not. We need 10 people each meeting to cover the cost of room hire. Less than this and we start chipping into club funds to pay the rent. Obviously that isn't ideal, so if we routinely get less than 10 in attendance the meetings will cease.

Anyway, I've added the new meeting to the calendar and we'll see how it goes

Hopefully this will give the opportunity for new members to join the club as well as we are very aware that not everyone can make Thursday nights.
Anyone who reads this and does wish to attend, please feel free to do so. Additionally, newcomers are reminded that there is a ''Games Next Week'' section on the forum for members to arrange games for upcoming meetings.
Please note however that this section is only visible to those who are registered on the website.

Cheers,
JT-Y.
